My search was limited to 25 trainers. I left out such up-and
-comers as Danny O’Brien, Chris Waller and Mick Price because
their recentsuccess means their runners are starting to go
around at prices similarto those of the Waterhouses and
Freedmans of theworld. My results were interesting.
Some trainers certainly weren’t as successful picked out five
trainers to carry thebulk of our taxpayer handout.Sure, some

PROBLEM child I'm Discreet wasn't kidding around when she walked in for an impressive six-length debut victory at Morphettville on Saturday.
But a goat may have played an important role in her early racetrack success.
Trainer Richard Jolly engaged Gundy the goat in a bid to prevent I'm Discreet box walking, a habit that could have cost her valuable energy before she even got to the barriers.
The unlikely pair no longer share lodgings but, judging by the ease or the two-year-old's debut win, the experiment seems to have worked wonders.
I'm Discreet was backed in from $3.30 to $3 on course ahead of her first public appearance. "I put the goat in the yard with I'm Discreet this preparation and they seemed to get along fine," Jolly said.
